3rd Quarter

https://pin.it/45rPntf

Another quarter has finnaly passed. Another quarter to begin. It's funny to think how time passes by really fast. We are now welcoming the last quarter for this school year. It means, we only have few months left. It means this is the last quarter. This means this is the LAST.

It makes me happy but at the same time, it really makes me sad, that we're finally welcoming another quarter. I realized that this is now the last quarter. It means this is my second to the last reflection blog that I'll be posting. So third quarter was indeed fun. When I think about third quarter, I remember the hiphop dance. It was one of the memorable memories of this quarter. Because of this, not only me but the whole class experienced body ache. Although it was tiring, I found happiness within it. It was nice practicing with the most fun people that I've ever met which are my classmates. Although it is very tiring, it was nice to experience this. Third quarter was a little drainy, there are a lot of school works, assignments, performance tasks and all. I'm hoping for this next quarter to be more easier but I think we will be more busier again since we are graduating.

Overall, I enjoyed this quarter even though it is draining. I will still continue to try my best for this coming quarter. I will make sure to always improve day by day. And also lastly, I will I will make sure to spend this last quarter of my junior highschool, the happiest and the most memorable.

SEMANA SANTA 2023

Holy Week is an important time for Christians throughout the world. Holy Week, the final week of Lent, begins on Palm Sunday, the Sunday before Easter. Holy Week is a time when Catholics gather to remember and participate in the Passion of Jesus Christ. A time when Jesus Christ sacrified his life for us.

Every year, Holy Week is one of the huge events that being held in our country. In this time, people are busy, specially the church. There are a lot of events that is happening during this time. It is a long holiday and that's why people can have time with God with their family and friends and also to rest from a very busy work or school. This Holy Week 2023, a lot of people specially from Metro Manila decided to have a vacation in province. They will go to resorts, they will do Visita Iglesia or even go back to their hometown, just like my brother did. Last week, Maundy thursday when he arrived at home. He was working on Manila and he decided to come home this holy week since it's rare to have a long vacation like this. There were a lot of activities or events that happened like the "Pursisyon" where a lot of people attended. I kinda dissapointed because I did not able to attend that since I have no one to go with. On the other hand, a lot of people, specially the elders that the Holy Week now is not the way it is like before when they were young. It used to be quite, people will not eat meat, you will never see people who are working at this time, there will be no radios that beating so loud. Time changed and so with this. Some people now, don't believe that these beliefs really makes sense and that's why it makes the older one dissapointed.

Overall, the Semana Santa 2023 was peaceful for me. This is the time when we need to reflect and regret to all of our sins. Jesus Christ sacrified his life for us, that's why we need to thank him by doing good things. Semana Santa is a reminder to us, how Jesus Christ loves us and how he can sacrifice his life just to save us. Let us remember to be always be greatful to God and let's thank him for all that we have.

ISNHS DAY

Celebrating 121st years of educational excellence with its unique self-paced, ISNHS has added another year of quality and impressive education, last saturday March 25, 2023 with the theme ‘’Renewed Commitment in Defying Odds to Transcend Heights of Excellence and Solidarity ’’. It is the one of the highlights of the school every year that most of the students are waiting for.

The first part of the said occasion was the Thanksgiving Mass which was held at the ISNHS Centennial Gymnasium at 8:00 am. While the second part of the foundation day was the program at 10:00 am. The program was started with the welcoming address by Mrs. Editha C. Bagcal the Principal IV of the ISNHS, followed by the message of Ms. Gemma Q. Tacuycuy and the intermission number of the selected Grade 10 students. The program's Master's of Ceremony were Mrs. Czarise R. Peria and Mr. Aldrin D. Dela Cruz. The joyful music and decorations brought about the festive ambiance of the Ilocos Sur National Higschool community perked up the ISNHSians after the non-stop blessing given by Miss Charmaine Antiporda who was the Guest of Honor and Speaker of the said occasion and the inspirational talk with Dr. Vida Margarette Andal Bueno. After that, the Awarding of Plaque of Recognition to the Guest Speaker and another intermission number by the Teacher's Choir were next. Awarding of Outstanding Teachers, Employees and Retirees plus the Words of Gratitude of Mr. Rommel R. Rabo were also part of the said program. The second part of the program was ended by the Closing Song, Walang Hanggang Pasasalamat.
Finally, the third and last part of the event was the field demo at 1:00 pm. It was started by the prayer led by Mr. Joseph Q. Obrero and the welcoming address by Mr. Reynario T. Viloria. Next was the Field Demonstration, Calisthenics (Galaw Pilipinas, Festival Dances ( Kannawidan Festival) and the Hiphop Dancers. Also, the Tradtional Games by FEC Officers, Booths by SSG are part of the third part of the event. Lastly the Words of Gratitude was delivered by Mrs. Judeliza M. Refuerzo. It was nice but I just got to witness the afternoon program  or the third part of the program which is the field demo. One of the most amusing part is when the Mapeh teachers and some students danced the Galaw Pilipinas. I was very amazed on how they danced and also it is eye pleasing to see how plenty they are and how they danced with a smile on their faces despite of the heat since it is 1 pm in the afternoon.

Foundation day in school is indeed fun, as Chad Sugg said "Enjoy your Youth, you'll never be younger than you are at this very moment". Students and teachers enjoyed this event especially since it has been almost 3 years since the last face-to-face celebration of this event. The efforts and hardworks of all ISNHSians facilitators, event organizers, students and teachers really paid off.
