A Day Full of Love
We celebrate Valentine's every at exact date February 14. But why do we celebrate Valentine's Day? Well, Valentine's Day originated as a Christian feast day honoring a martyr named Valentine. Through later folk traditions, it has become a significant cultural and commercial celebration of romance and love in many regions of the world. Everytime February comes, you'll start to see a lot of heart decorations around you. Some people are excited celebrating it, while others don't. It is because some people thinks that Valentine's is just celebrated by people who have partners, but what they don't realize is that Valentine's is for all, for friends, family, teachers, coworkers, and more.
Before Valentine's, my classmates decided to exchange gifts on Valentine's in order for us to receive a gift on this day (especially most of us are single haha). We draw names and I got Angel. February comes. I greeted my parents a HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY and kissed them. After that I went to school and it was quite cute since it is my first time, giving a gift to anyone (except, my parents) in Valentine's. The one who got my name was Gade and I was pleased on what he gave to me, it was a lot of foods. I also got flower from Neriah. It was all cute. Later on that day, I greeted my online friends.
Moving on, I realized that Valentine's was not only for people who have partners. I admit it that at first, I was really bitter. But as time goes by, I realized that there is something more, about Valentine's. Valentine's is a month of Love and Heart. I realized that love does not only work romantically for couples, there is more than that and it is the unconditional love that we give and receive from our family and friends. Everyday is Valentine. We choose to love and care to people especially our loved ones, everyday. Sometimes, the greatest love is not found in dramatic scenes that poets and writers immortalize. Often, the greatest manifestation of love are the simple act of kindness and caring that we extend to those we meet along the path. Love is for everyone, yourself, family, friends, and God.
