Change Begins Within Us

CHANGE; IT STARTS WITH ME

Change, it starts with me.
 What's the first thing that
comes into your mind about
 that phrase? What is your
insights about it?
Well for me, this phrase means
a lot. In my own opinion,
if you really want to change
something
in your life, it must begin with
 you, yourself.
Change. If you want a change, you
should start it with yourself.
But how can we change a thing, on our own?
According to the book that I'm
still currently reading called "Atomic Habits",
if you want to change something in your life,
 it always starts with yourself.
Fixing your daily lifestyle, changing your habits,
improving your routine and so on.
It said there that tiny and small changes make a big difference.
For example, you want to loss weight, so what you're gonna do is to
start it with yourself.
Start motivating yourself that you can do it. Start dieting, exercising,
and changing your habits.
This is what the book is trying to say, to start changing our habits for
 us to achieve our goals.
Like for us students, our goal every quarter's test is to have a high
score on exam,
so in order to achieve that goal, we must change our habits.
Habits that are unnecessary and unimportant.
If we want to change something around us, we must start it with
ourselves. For example, last April of 2022
the #lettheearthbreathe was trending because of the worsening of
 climate change
that is happening to our world.
This time, a lot of my friends of facebook shared and spread this
 awareness including me,
which is very helpful in some ways.
Like me, I started deleting all unnecessary messages, emails and files
 in my phone,
I'm also trying my best to not use a lot of plastics.
But then, at the end of the day, some people doesn't really do anything
to help saving our planet. Like Mahatma Ghandi said,
If you want to change the world, start it with yourself. Sharing and
spreading awareness is not enough for us to save the world,
but doing some tiny changes and small things could.

In conclusion, change starts with us. Like John C. Maxwell said, “Most
people want to change the world to improve their lives,
but the world they need to change first is the one inside themselves.”
You can't just have words, it must also be accompanied by actions.
Actions that can make a great difference and change
on you and to anything around you.
We must always keep in mind
that yourself is the key to change.

THE OLDER VERSION OF ME

                                                             OLDER VERSION OF ME

Mother. What's the first thing that comes into your mind when you hear the word "mother"? Maybe some of you will think, a parent or the one who gave birth to us. But for me she is more than that. My mother is like a ray of sunshine after a storm, she is like the rainbow after a rain, and a moon at the darkness night. She is the most important person in my life, together with my dad.

When I was a kid, I thought my mom was a superhero. Maybe I am not alone right? When we were little, we used to think that our parents are our superheroes. I used to think that she is wonderwoman, who is strong and powerful. But as I grew older, I realized I was wrong. She is more than that. She is more than a superhero. She is more than a superhero in a sense that every problem, she manages to scape all and resolves all of them. As I grow older, the more I understand a lot of things. I understood that life wasn't that easy at all and the world isn't that perfect that I used to think. Because of that, I realized how strong and courages my mom is. Her unconditional love for us is uncomparable.
She makes my breakfast and always making sure that I have lunch at school. When I crave for something, she makes sure to buy it or cook it for me. She always takes care for me, everytime I get sick. She always nag at me everytime I overuse my phone. She does everything just to make sure that me and my brothers are safe and healthy.

Overall, my mom is irreplacable.
She might me the grumpiest person I know, but she is also the warmest person I know. Her loud voice coming from the kitchen saying it's time for dinner sounds like a melody. She is the one I look for everytime I just came home and don't see her. I love all about her. Her voice, cooking, attitude and all. She is an angel in the shape of my mom. She is such a blessing. She might not be a perfect mother just like everyone else. In my next life, if I would want to be born as her child again.
